Human Spotlight

  • Location: Lebanon

The project is geared towards empowering around 50 ( some migrant domestic workers from diverse African nationalities, and refugee women from Syria and Palestine)by providing them with the skills in knitting wool. This initiative aims to enable these women to craft their own clothes and those of their children, ensuring warmth during winter. Additionally, the project will gift them the necessary tools and supplies to kickstart their independent ventures in producing woolen clothes like shirts and shawls. The ultimate goal is to grant these women economic autonomy, liberating them from the constraints of employers and institutions. By fostering their ability to generate income through knitting, the project aspires to alleviate economic burdens, supporting these women in overcoming the challenges posed by the current economic crisis in Lebanon.
